Listening to Subtitle's Connect Sets album, you get a sense that Giovanni Marks (Subtitle's reflective, analog alter-ego) is a dimension short or long of common space-time. That description kind of feels like it makes sense doesn't it? You're just going to have to trust that feeling.
Subtitle thrives on it. And with his help, you will too. He knows you're going to sit there a little confused at the end of any one of his song-like units ("something something babble"), no matter how much he guides you. And guide you he does, as Connect Setters want to do, but he does it his way: with the self-conscious wisdom of a west-coast Woody-Allen, and the double fisted obscurity of a real-life Morpheus who offers you no choice between pills...
"Let your brain unravel...
Go Far, Far away,
Somewhere you never knew,
Go far away."
Sure, he might just be talking about your bling-addled conceptions of hip-hop. Suuuuuuuuure.
